Patient safety across borders
Strengthening the coorporation between Denmark and Germany on patient safety The project will establish a border-crossing network for analysis of clinical treatments. It will also examine the possbility for a communication and data platform to avoid unintended actions in treatments. Regional Telemedicine Forum
The Region of Southern Denmark is the lead in a new European forum for Telemedicine The Region of Southern Denmark is strengthening its international position within the area of telemedicine by entering into close corporation with a number of European regions, who have likewise made experiences with the use of telemedicine solutions in different types of continuity of care. Regional Telemedicine Forum (RTF) is a project, whose goal is to exchange experiences within the area of telemedicine. The project consists of the Region of Southern Denmark as the lead applicant and regions from eight different countries in Europe. Through conferences and meetings, the nine regions will exchange information and develop an e-health platform, which will ensure corporation when the project is over. Several of the European regions have areas where the population is scattered. For that reason, the regions see big advantages in telemedicine, through which there will be less transport of personnel, while at the same time the citizens can stay in their own homes. This way, there will be less use of hospital beds and the citizen will remain mostly independent
